Other Ways to Give
Many companies will match your donation.
Your generosity fuels the fight for clean water, healthy communities, and a socially responsible food system. But did you know your impact could be doubled—or even tripled? Many companies and foundations across the United States match their employees’ charitable contributions, providing an easy way to amplify your support for SRAP’s mission.
Not sure if your employer offers this benefit? Contact your company’s human resource department to ask if a matching gift program is available.
Make a gift directly from your IRA.
Support SRAP’s mission while potentially lowering your taxable income by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA. Your QCD contribution ensures SRAP can continue its critical work to support farmers and protect natural resources.
Eligibility
A QCD is a tax-advantaged way to give, available to IRA account holders aged 70 ½ or older.
How to give through a QCD:
- Contact your IRA custodian to initiate the distribution directly to SRAP.
- Consult your tax advisor to ensure this option is right for you.
Learn more about Qualified Charitable Distributions: Visit IRS.gov.
Donate your charitable DAF dollars to SRAP.
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a powerful tool to support SRAP’s work and mission. By giving through your DAF, you help us protect communities, natural resources, and the future of our food system.
To make a gift through your DAF:
- Request a grant distribution through your DAF sponsor. Be sure to use SRAP’s tax identification number: 20-8688122.
- Indicate whether your gift is unrestricted or designated to a specific program.
- Consider naming SRAP as a beneficiary of your donor-advised fund to continue supporting our mission for years to come.
Donate appreciated securities.
A gift of appreciated securities, such as stocks, is a simple and impactful way to support SRAP’s mission while potentially offering you tax advantages and maximizing the value of your contribution.

Create a lasting legacy by including SRAP in your will or trust.
Including SRAP in your will or trust is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact on communities and the environment while protecting the values that matter most to you. A legacy gift ensures that future generations will benefit from sustainable agriculture, clean water, and healthy communities.
A bequest is a provision in your will or trust that designates a specific amount, percentage, or asset to be given to SRAP after your passing. This type of gift provides a powerful opportunity to support our mission without affecting your assets during your lifetime.
Why consider a bequest?
- Flexibility: A bequest is revocable, allowing you to modify your gift at any time.
- No impact during your lifetime: It becomes effective only after your passing.
- Privacy: Your intentions remain private until your will is executed.
- Potential tax benefits: Bequests may provide federal estate tax deductions, reducing the tax burden on your loved ones (consult your tax advisor for details).
